Patrick Jerome "Lil Pat/Sankie" McCormick, Jr

Patrick Jerome McCormick Jr., known by his family and friends as “Lil Pat” and “Sankie”, was born to Patrick Jerome McCormick Sr. and Eunice Scott McCormick on February 7th, 1985 in Marion, South Carolina.  He departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021 in Marion, South Carolina.

“Lil Pat” attended the public schools system of Marion, South Carolina. He attended ad became a member of New Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Sellers, South Carolina.  He loved to spend time with his family and friends (Especially his children whom he adored), fish, dance, and “Hook-up” his car radio systems that let everyone know “There Goes Sankie”. He has never met a stranger. He was laid back, hard working, and always full of joy, laughter, and smile that could brighten up the darkest sky.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew J. McCormick, his Grandparents, one Aunt – Lula Mae Bethea, three Uncles – Coy “Slim” Robinson, James T. McCormick Jr., and Ira “Tim” Dixon.

“Lil Pat” leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Patrick J. McCormick Sr. & Eunice Scott McCormick; his daughter, Princess Malayja Monique McCormick; his son, Patrick Jerome McCormick III;  his siblings: Rhonda McCormick (Tony Bennett) of Latta, SC; Patricia McCormick of Dillon, SC; Anthony (Jaquanna) McCormick of Marion, SC; God sister Ranisha Hemingway of Rains, SC; nine aunts: Joyce Scott, Barbara McCormick, and Angie McRae of Latta, SC; Jackie Scott, Florence Scott, Lena McCormick, Shawntey Fling, of Marion, SC; Lisa (Shawn) Manning, of Charlotte, NC, and Keisha McRae, of Sellers, SC; five uncles: Eddie “Randy” Scott Jr., of Latta, SC; Melvin “Duck” Robinson, Lee McCormick, of Marion, SC; Joe McCormick, of Sellers, SC, and his best friend John (Michelle) McCormick Columbia, SC; four nieces, four nephews, and so many others that may not be listed here, but please know that he cherished his entire family and friendships dearly.
