Helen Jackson

Helen Jackson was born in Dillon County, South Carolina on September 28, 1946. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. 

Helen grew up in Latta, South Carolina, and was educated in Dillon County Public Schools. Later in life, she settled at Thorne Retirement Home in Lake View, South Carolina and became a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. 

Helen is preceded in death by her mother: Marcella Manning; father: Silas Jackson; two brothers: Horace Jackson and James Jackson; one son: Tony Jackson.

Helen leaves to cherish her loving memories ~ a daughter: Elisa Jackson (Andrew) Thomas of Temple Hill, MD; a grandson: Mark (Jackie) Colvin, Jr. of Alexandria, VA; a grand-daughter: Andrea Thomas of Temple Hill, MD; a great-grandson: Makai Jaxon Colvin of Alexandria, VA; two sisters: Mary (Alphonso) Page of Fork, SC, and Lula (Carstell) Pitts of Oxon Hill, MD; a brother: Ester (Hazel) Jackson of Greenville, SC; three aunts: Pearletha Ward of Bennettsville, SC, Ella Mae Bowman and Mary Ruth Cooper both of Newburgh, NY; six nieces, seven nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
