Obituary

Willie Depriest P ittman, Sr. affectionately known as "Slick" was born on March 24, 1959 in Dillon County, South Carolina; to the late Depriest "DL" Pittman and the late Daisy Israel Pittman. Willie departed this earthly life peacefully with family at his side on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Carolina Hospital in Florence, South Carolina.

Willie was reared in Dillon, South Carolina most of his life and attended the Dillon County School System. "Slick" met Annie E. McClam in 1979 and quickly realized she's a keeper; they married on May 23, 1980 and settled in Latta, South Carolina to raise a family. From this union they were blessed with five children and yielding thirty-eight years of marriage. Willie was a relentless member of Berean Church of God in Christ for ten years and deeply loved. He learned a great work ethic at an early age and always provided for his wife and children. He was a jack-of-all-trades, could fix anything and was always right. Professionally "Slick" was a certified Master Welder for approximately twenty years prior to creating his own business as owner & operator of Mondale Trucking Company, LLC in 1996 and worked for approximately twenty-three years until hi health failed in August of 2018.

"Slick" leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories ~ his loving and devoted wife: Annie E. Pittman of the home; father-n-law: Foster Godbold, Sr. of Latta, SC; four sons and one daughter: Antonio M. (Tasha) Pittman of Athens, GA, Richard A. (Patricia) Pittman of Fort Myers, FL, Willie D, Pittman, Jr. of Latta, SC, Tu'Mika L. Birch of Columbia, SC and Kendric D. Pittman of Columbia, SC; fourteen grand children: Anaya Bolding of Fayetteville, NC, Meca and Marcus Pittman of Sumter, SC, Elias and Eliza Pittman of Athens, GA, Ke'Zion Pittman of Dillon, SC, Ty'Kendra and La'Kendra Fletcher of Dillon, SC, and Aryn Pittman of Dillon, SC, Samaria and Sanai Pittman of Dillon, SC, Alexana Allen of Columbia, SC, Mariah and Elizabeth of Fort Myers, FL; two great-grandchildren: Madisyn and Makenzy of Sumter, SC; two sisters: Nancy Grant Pittman of Dillon, SC and Evelyn Pittman of Columbia, SC; five sisters-n-law and three brothers-n-law; six special children: Javier, TaSheva, Shawanna, Precious, Prince and Jermika; biological father: Treadway Manning whom he grew to love over the years and through him he has many sisters and brothers; two special friends: Lester Ray Johnson of Fort Walton, FL and Elder Harvey Rogers III of Columbia, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
