William "Bill" Moultrie departed this earthly life on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 3:30 a.m. at the McLeod Hospice House, Florence, South Carolina. He was born on May 31, 1942 in Latta, South Carolina to the late Deacon Sam Moultrie and Annie Manning. William attended the public schools in Dillon County, South Carolina. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized and later joined Mill Branch Baptist Church in Latta, South Carolina. William had numerous jobs from textile to Security Guard position from DuPoint of Florence, South Carolina, Marion Memorial Hospital, David's of Dillon and some farm work on the Allen Farm. Preceding him in death ~ his parents: Sam and Annie M. Moultrie; three brothers: James, Sam Jr. and Lawrence Moultrie; two sisters: Mary Helen Ferguson and Rachel Moultrie. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories ~ his wife: Essie L. Moultrie; three sons: Bobby Richardson of Latta, SC, William Gerald Richardson of Richmond, VA and Bernard (LaTasha) Moultrie of Latta, SC; one daughter: Angela M. Jones of Latta, SC; nine grandchildren: Bobby (Lannie) Richardson Jr. of Latta, SC, Tyree (Ann) Richardson of High Point, NC, Essence Richardson of Richmond, VA, Jamison Jones of Latta, SC, Jalea Richardson (Marque) Smith of Bennettsville, SC, Brandon (Shamila) Moultrie of Korea, Kendall Moultrie, Ashanti Gillespie and William Gerald Richardson Jr.; eight great grandchildren: Brianna, Ju'kiera, Taylor, Skylar, Bailey, Brantley, Mike, Isiah; two sisters: Dorothy Wilson of Darlington, SC and Anne Margaret Moultrie of Salisburg, NC; four sisters-n-law; two brothers-n-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
