Shemecal Fletcher McNeil was born to the late Vernon "Bubby" Fletcher and the late Lena Ray Godfrey Fletcher on March 30, 1976 in Marion, South Carolina. She departed this life Sunday, October 30, 2018 after a brief illness. Meka had several siblings to predecease her: Michael Fletcher, Morris Fletcher, and Diane Fletcher.

Meka met the love of her life, Charles Lamont McNeil in high school. They were together for over 20 years and made it official May 31, 2015. Usually, if you saw one, you saw the other. They were rarely apart and always had each other's back. They dearly loved their three children.

Shemecal had accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior earlier in life and had recently rededicated her life to Him. She was a member of Fresh Beginnings Christian Center, Clio, SC.

Meka had a loving spirit. She was full of life even when she talked smack to you!

On this day, Sunday, Shemecal Katherine Fletcher McNeil left us to be with the Lord. She leaves loving memories with her husband: Charles Lamont McNeil; three (3) children: Josiah, Charlton and Halo; four (4) sisters: Vera Fletcher and Gail Fletcher of the home, Latta, SC; Tonya L. Fletcher, Conway, SC; Dishana Fletcher, Dillon, SC and Latasha Fletcher, Elgin, SC; six (6) brothers: Delton (Patricia) Fletcher, Rowland, NC; Kenneth (Tonya) Fletcher, Timmonsville, SC; Vernon Fletcher, Jr. and Darrel Fletcher of the home, Latta, SC; and Gregory Fletcher, Dillon, SC; one (1) aunt: Hilda Fletcher Rogers, Sellers, SC; one (1) uncle: Caldwell Dan Godfrey, Columbia, SC; a special, devoted nephew, Travon "TJ" (Zaria) Fletcher, Florence, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
