On Thursday morning, September 3, 2020 Sarah Elizabeth Abram Harris joined the heavenly angles at her home in Latta, S.C.
S arah E lizabeth A bram H arris daughter of the late Arthur Abram, Sr. and Julia Crawford Abram was born on June 6, 1935 in Marion County. She was converted at an early age and joined St. John Baptist Church where she remained until her health failed.
After working in summer jobs in Kinston, N. C., she met and married the late Johnnie Ray Harris and moved to Greenville, N. C. She later moved to Brooklyn, N. Y. and stayed until she relocated back home to Latta, S.C. when her mother became ill.
Sarah attended Latta Public Schools.
Sarah better known as "Munk", was a very cheerful and well-known person who loved being around people.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur Sr and Julia Abram; husband: Johnnie Ray Harris; one son: James Isiah Abram; two sisters: Florence Horne and Mary Sue Abram; five brothers: Arthur, Jr., William Joseph, Julius, Issac, and Louis Abram.
Sarah leaves to cherish her found memories ~ two daughters: Carrie McLaughlin of the home who took care of her until the end and Sylvia Jackson of Latta, SC was her baby and she made it known; one step son: Ray Harris; two step daughters: Linda Faye and Amy Harris who she loved as her own; four grandchildren: Leon, Clayton, Latanya, and Rachelle Abram all of Latta, SC; eleven great grandchildren: Breon, Kartilus, Jakayla, Shakaya, Tylek, Dalasia, Daquavious, Kardae, Messiah, Sire, Tamye; two great great grandchildren: Ava and Bariah; three sisters: Julia Mae (Calvin) Davis, Rebecca A. Wilson, and Patricia A. (Howard) Williams; one brother: Rev. Johnnie L. (Velvet) Abram; one siter in law: Adell Harris; a very special son -in -law whom she loved: Ray Charles Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Gone from home, but not from our hearts.
