Patricia Ann Johnakin Thompson , affectionately known as "Pat," was born on August 21, 1962 in Bennettsville, South Carolina to the late James Frankie Brown and Lottie Mae Baker. She departed this earthly life and received her wings on Monday, February 4, 2019.
Patricia was a Dillon High School Graduate in the Class of 1979, where she earned her Cosmetology License. She received a Degree in Criminal Justice from Florence-Darlington Technical College in Florence, South Carolina. Pat worked at the Evans Correctional Institution of Bennettsville, South Carolina until her retirement in 2004. She was a volunteer at the Pee Dee Coalition and a member of the committee on "Relay for Life." She was an active member of East Marlboro Baptist Church, Brownsville, South Carolina.
Patricia met and married the Love of her life, Lewis Jordon Thompson who preceded her in death.
Patricia leaves to cherish fond memories ~ two sons and one daughter: Christopher (Erica) Johnakin of Anderson, SC; Sedrick Johnakin and Sabrina Thompson, both of the home; one grand-daughter: Layla Johnakin of Anderson, SC and one special god-grandson: Zaiden Fletcher of Latta, SC; mother: Lottie Baker of Floydale, SC; a brother: James (Carol) Brown of Dunn, NC; a sister: Karen (Ray) Pernell of Latta, SC and a host of other relatives and Friends.
