Mae Clyde Moultrie Hall was born January 17, 1937 in Marlboro County to the late Deacon Perry and Reverend Louise Moultrie. She departed this earthly life on August 6, 2019 at 8:54 P. M. at McLeod Health Florence, S.C.
At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Latta, S.C. She served on the Senior Choir, a member of the Missionary Society and Senior Citizens Club.
Mae attended Dillon County Training School and from there she went to Latimer High School and graduated in 1955. After high school, she attended Benedict College where she received her BS Degree in Accounting.
After graduating from college, Mae married the love of her life Lewis Hall in August of 1961. To this union, one son was born, Vincent Hall.
Mae worked as an accountant in an Insurance Company in Columbia, S.C. She later moved to New York and did domestic work. After returning to Latta, S.C., she worked as a substitute teacher and became her mother caregiver. She later became a member of Dora Tent #36 United Order of Tents J. R. Giddens & Jolliffee Union Southern District #4.
Mae leaves to cherish her found memories: son: Vincent Hall of Columbia, S.C.; two sisters: Lou Ellen (Reverend Fest) Bethea of Latta, S.C., Mary Sparrow of Hephzibah, Ga.; three grandchildren: Lewis Hall, II, Darius A. Hall and Tawanda D. Hall; three great grandchildren: Leona Hall, Layla Hall, and Jorda Hall; one aunt: Mrs. Mable Graham of Bleheim, S.C.; a special niece Angel Bethea-Clarke; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and Friends. A special thank you to Thorne's Retirement Home and Pruitt Health.
