On Monday, September 24, 2018 God took one of his angels home to live eternally.  He peacefully entered into eternal rest at Conway Medical Center in Conway, South Carolina. Howard Pierce was the oldest child of the late Leo Howard Pierce Sr. and Elizabeth Pierce.

He was born on May 3, 1947.  He joined Antioch Baptist Church at an early age.  He attended Blenheim High School and received his education at Job Corp Marine.  Howard really loved the Lord; he had a heart so full of love, joy and laughter. He loved to sing, tell jokes and play his guitar.  His favorite song was "I found no fault in him" and a special song he would sing to his wife, "It must be love girl."

He is preceded in death by a brother-n-law: Jessie Dixon; a sister-n-law: Peggy Dixon and three great grandchildren.

Howard is survived by his wife: Elizabeth D. Pierce of Latta, SC; seven children: Roxanne (James) Thompson, Hollie (Hilliard) Scarborough all of Latta, SC, Cassandra Pierce of Goldsburg, NC, Leo Howard Boatwright of Columbia, SC, Libby (Terrence) Logan of Dayton, Florida, Frankie Pierce of Ohio, Danielle (Thomas) Harvey of Aynor, SC; four brothers: Truman (Sarah) Pierce, Roger Pierce, Melvin Pierce all of Aynor, SC, Robert Pierce of Myrtle Beach, SC; four sisters: Rosie Marie Roberts, Hazel (Sammy Lee) Gee, Jessie Glenn of Dayton Florida; five aunts: Annette Grice of Dillon, SC, Ruth Barr, Evangelist Ida McKiver of Marion, SC, Evangelist Barbara McCrae, Evangelist Sarah Simmons all of Bennettsville, SC; four brothers-n-law: Daniel Dixon, Leemar Dixon, Richard Dixon all of Latta, SC, Randolph (Daisey) Jenkins of Newark, NJ; four sisters-n-law: Rachel (Ron) Burgman of Livingston, NJ, Diane Dixon, Barbara Dixon, Rosegeaner Dixon of Latta, SC; eleven grandchildren: Damian Dixon, Shaquera Thompson, Shilez Thompson, Jarvis Thompson, Keyshania Dixon, ShyQueisha Dixon, Quantasia Scarborough Stefon Scarborough, Keasia Scarborough, La'dasha Green, Areauna Odom; two special nieces: Velma Thompson, Barbara Skeener; a special son: Joseph Dixon and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
