Lee Edward Burton was born on December 20, 1955 to the late Elliot and Bessie Scott Burton. On Sunday, January 6, 2019 he entered into eternal rest.

Lee was educated in the public schools of Latta, South Carolina and was a member of New Mount Zion AME Church. Lee never met a stranger. He loved and enjoyed talking to people. To know Lee was to love him.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents: Elliot and Bessie Scott Burton; sisters: Veola and Rebecca; brothers: Frank, Elliot, Sam and Tony; special friend: Rose Marie Godfrey.

Lee leaves to cherished fond and loving memories ~ his sisters: Polly (Arbe) Felton of Sellers, SC; Betty (Jake) Jacobs and Patricia Brown of Bronx, NY; brother: Isaac Scott of Marion, SC; step-sister: Helen Thomas of Edgefield, SC; sister-n-law: Rovena Burton of New Jersey; brother-n-law: William Brown of New York; special cousins: Mary Burch, Lamont Godfrey who was like a son and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and the entire Sellers Community.
