"A good man of such caliber will never die as his name and his goodness lives among us and carried from heart to heart." John Robert Davis was born on May 1, 1944 to the late Lillian Burns Davis and James Damon Davis. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

John attended the Dillon County public schools and graduated from Latimer High School, Latta, South Carolina in the class of 1962 and later he attended North Carolina A&T State University.

John was in employed with Civic and Community organizations and accolades are many. All were important, but to name a few... Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, Retired Magistrate Judge, Owner and Operator of Davis Cleaners, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Deacon Board, and Senior Citizen Circle.

John was preceded in death along with his parents, a brother: Mitchell Lee Davis.

Leaving to carry on John's legacy ~ his wife: Mary Lowery Davis of the home; his children: Revenna Fowlkes, Regina Judge both of New Jersey, Tara (Harry) James of Raleigh, NC, Tonya (Johnny) Wright of Latta, SC, LeeNina Munn of New Jersey, Denetra Gibbons of Sellers, SC, Tabitha Bethea, and Frank (Jennifer) Gibbons; eleven grandchildren: Miles, Vivi, Whitney, Tiffany, Monique, Jasmine, Johnny II, Maya, Madison, Raeven, Ravaughn; sisters and brothers: Frankie Lou Brown of Lata, SC, James (Marie) Davis of Charlotte, NC, Curtis (Veronica) Davis of Elign, SC; aunt: Edginora Gilchrist of Mullins, SC; brother-n-law: Adam (Judy Lowery) Larry ans sister-n-law: Collie (Linda) Lowery and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
