Jean Alexander was born to Wesley, Sr. and Arnethea Alexander on June 6, 1948 in Dillon County, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on July 28, 2020. Jean was a devoted and loving person. She lived he life with a passion for her family and a heart for people. She never met a stranger; she always had a unique way of making you feel like you were the best, often providing compliments no matter where she saw you.

Jean was educated in the public school system of Dillon County. She was employed by Russell Stover Chocolate Candy Store in Marion, S.C. until she retired.

The love of her life were her children and grandchildren. She took special care and concern for them and made sure to provide love, support, and protection.

At an early age, Jean understood the importance of spiritual accountability. Jean joined Mill Branch Baptist Church in Latta, SC and in later years Sellers Chapel Baptist Church of Sellers, SC.

She will be missed deeply by all of those who loved and knew her. Jean served her family well often making sure to remain to connected to extended family and doing her part to keep everyone connected.

She leaves to cherish her memories ~ one grandson: Thurston Alexander of Dillon, SC; one granddaughter: Brittany Campbell of Columbia, SC; two sisters: Addie Ruth Flemming and Lessie Mae Flemming both of Latta, SC; one brother: Wesley (Jean) Alexander, Jr. of Latta, SC; two special nephews who attended to her affairs: Bishop Marden (Ruth) Alexander of Florence, SC and Leonard Alexander of Latta, SC who assisted her until her transition; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her children: Levern Alexander, Tiffany Alexander, and Crystal Stackhouse; one brother: Levern "Von" Alexander, two sisters: Bertha Mae Oxendine and Gertrude Sims.
