Obituary

Mother Christine German was the daughter of the late Marilyn Campbell and the late Fannie Anthony. She was born on February 6, 1940 in Dillon County, South Carolina and departed this life on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Regency Hospital System in Florence, South Carolina.

Christine or Chris as she was lovingly called by family and friends attended the public schools in Dillon County. She was employed at Bethel Steel in Baltimore, Maryland before retiring and relocating to South Carolina.

At and early age, she attended Western Chapel AME Church in Latta, South Carolina. She was married to the late Albert German, Sr. inn addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter: Janice German; a brother: Leneau Anthony; a sister: Thelma Cade and a step father: Leneau Anthony, Sr; five sisters-n-law and five brothers-n-law.

Christine leaves to cherish fond memories and to carry her torch ~ her companion of forty years: Heyward Coston of the home; her children: Albertine German of Denton, TX, Albert (Lorraine) German, Jr. of Columbia, SC, IIa F. German of Darlington, SC, Timothy (Bridgette) German of Lamar, SC, Jean German of Florence,SC, Lenise Malbon of Latta, SC, Clinton (Sharhonda) German of Dillon, SC, Cleveland (Sheryl) Lewis of Florence, SC and Dr. Darlene German of Florence, SC; her step children: Warren (Margaret) McNeil, Sandy (Ida Mae) McNeil, Dr, Inetta (Allen) Robinson, Sierra (Elwood) Bethea all of Dillon, SC, Troy German of Marion, SC; twenty-four grand children, sistenn great-grandchildren; two sisters: Frances Bethea of Latta, SC and Mary Lee Foxworth of Bishopville, SC; two brothers: Merlin Campbell of Florence, SC and Alvin (Sherry) Cade of Duluth, GA; three sisters-n-law: Lillian Thompson of Rocky Mount, NC, Kathleen Peppers of Little Rock, SC and Maxine German of Syracuse, NY;  brother-n-law: Acie German of Dillon, SC; one uncle: William Campbell of Washington, DC; a very special grand-daughter: Jhamaya German "Lucy" of Florence, SC a grandson: Gralin German of Darlington, SC; a god-daughter: Shavon Bethea of Latta, SC; two special nieces: Martha German and Sallie Hayes both of Dillon, SC; five special friends: Luvenia (Roy) Wright of Latta,SC, Walter Winston of Emporia, VA, Lynn Flynard of Baltimore, MD, Barbara Green of Darlington, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
